SPY STORY tells the stories of heroic young women who were recruited and trained by Britain’s Special Operations Executive (SOE) from 1940 to 1945 and dropped behind enemy lines to, in Winston Churchill’s words, “set Europe ablaze.” The anthology series kicks off with the story of SOE’s second youngest spy who parachutes into occupied France on a mission to sabotage Nazi forces nine days before D-Day.

In the near future, a new world order is on the rise that includes the covert shifting of global power from political and military force to scientific might. One fateful night, an agent sustains head injuries in a car crash that kills her scientist-husband and leaves her with debilitating “visions” or delirium; and a homicide detective is left with a crippled arm in an explosion that kills his partner. Initially unaware of each other’s plight, the former lovers, now isolated, reluctantly join forces after they realize the events of that night are connected to something much larger: an international operation is using science to take over the world.

The world of a tight-knit, multi-generational family that includes their upscale restaurant/bar is starting to feel as if it’s under siege. Internal forces, left unchecked for years, have begun to gain in power – from the growing infusion of outsiders in relationships and business, to the clash between family obligations and individual desire. When the family scion suffers a heart attack, the once-seemingly impervious family begins to crack with the implosion of ambition, excess and secrets.

ALMA MATER

In this satirical look at higher learning, the lofty ideals of an academic institution (the fictitious Walter Sturgess University) are pitted against the antics of its all too-human members. Everyone’s gearing up for the start of school – from inept administrators, ambitious academics and grant-thirsty researchers; to zealous fundraisers, frivolous professors and entitled students. But all hell breaks loose when the body of a Lothario professor is found ass up and pants down in the President’s Office.
